About Jen

This page is a partially fictional autobiography. I suppose then that it is equally correct to say that it is a partially non-fictional autobiography. Those who know me well know the truths; those who don't might have some fun figuring it out.

Humble Beginnings

Jen was born in a suburb in Northeastern Pennsylvania that was lush in its landscape yet bustling with interesting activity. Her parents were kind, loving people who gave her all the attention and nurturing she required; her sister Sara became a constant companion from the time of her birth a few years later. The four shared their hopes, dreams, and lessons of life in a white, five bedroom split-level house near a lake filled with lily pads.

A pure bred samoyed and lavish black cat graced their home as four-legged family members, the latter most often found by the living room fireplace. Jen and Sara eagerly shared what they learned in grade school with their loving parents (and anyone else who cared to listen). Jen's unfaltering sense of self assisted her through the often difficult transition to junior high school with ease, where she started to develop a keen sense of independence and confidence. The number of friends (girls and boys alike) she drew to her was almost unfathomable.

Flawless Middles

While attending the prestigious Bishop Hoban High School, a blooming Jen engaged in her studies while catching the eye of several young suitors. Her flowing mane and vibrant smile were the envy of her female classmates, though they also couldn't help adoring her sweet natured style. All who loved her were saddened by her departure north to college, but admired her ambitions and promised to stay in touch.

Jen's High-Schoolish Beauty
The West Hartford area of Connecticut quickly became Jen's second home. Living life to its fullest, she studied, worked, and entertained friends at her off-campus abode. She was one of the first students at university to create a "web page", and soon after her venture into cyberspace, her creativity and vision landed her her first job in the field of technology. Her interests in writing and technology made her a rare commodity in a booming "dot-com" society, and she was courted by several companies upon her graduation who offered to pay exorbitant salaries.

Happy Endings

Throughout her college and initial working years, Jen was involved in several educational, meaningful, and often life changing relationships. Her devotion to her significant others never waned, though she refused to sacrifice her ultimate dreams of romance and love for anything less. Her sister was especially supportive of her desires and entertained the same ideas of ultimate connection with a member of the opposite sex.

In 2004, after having obtained her masters degree and having offered a great portion of her energy to several nonprofit organizations, Jen's perseverance and fortitute paid off--she met the man of her dreams at a dance in West Newton, Massachusetts. Today they live happily with their two cats, Ferris and Paschal, in a brownstone in downtown Boston, Massachusetts. Although they spend many days traveling to exotic locations, they are also looking forward to someday starting a family of their own. Jen and her beau frequently visit Sara, her husband, and their son (who live nearby), and the extended family gets together at a mutually-agreeable location for all holiday celebrations.
